Katherine's Art Show
Here are some photos from Katherine's end of the school year art show. She made a drum using rawhide and she reports that working with the material was stinky. She also made a mosaic. She was the only person in her class to finish. All of the projects were very exciting. It seems they have a very enthusiastic art teacher.
I also got to go to her Chuck Wagon Lunch. It was the end of their unit on pioneers. I had some very good chili, cornbread, and ice cream. The students were learning games like jacks and marbles with little success, but they all seemed to be having fun. Katherine did a very nice poster of all the gear a horse and cowboy needed in this historical period. She received a 5 out of 5 for her work.

Just a quick word of thanksgiving to Aunt B, Kellie, and Laura (whom I didn't realize was there until I saw a picture via Sandra's phone) for giving John and Katherine such a memorable Thanksgiving. They have not stopped talking about this and that thing that did, saw, or eat.
Thanks for carrying on this family tradition (Elizabeth must surely be pleased) with our kids.
Thanks,
Jim and Sandra
